ART of RU XU

Ru grew up in Indianapolis and Washington, DC.

After a decade of producing graphic novels and stories for an online audience, while dutifully preparing to attend law school, Ru ended up at the Savannah College of Art and Design on a full academic scholarship.

In 2013, Ru graduated magna cum laude with a BFA in Sequential Art and minors in Animation and Storyboarding. Ru's client list includes VIZ Media, Scholastic, Boom! Studios, and Hiveworks.

Ru Xu's stories focus on fantastical settings filled with engaging characters. The NewsPrints graphic novel series was nominated for an Edgar, a Kids' Comic Award, and an Ignatz, and it's available at all places that sell books. Ru's Reuben-nominated webcomic Saint for Rent is available online and in print at DFTBA!
